Job Description: Define, develop, and implement graphic and communication design plans for the organization to attract and retain clients, sponsors, and individual donors. Create, develop, and manage designs and illustrations for company websites, print media, product design, newsletter, displays and productions from initial concept sketch to final products. Lead collaborative design sessions with stakeholders across comprehensive social services, including mental health services, substance use and prevention services, and family-focused community programs to determine design needs. Consolidate and incorporate stakeholders’ feedback into design output. Design and create materials for fundraising campaigns and special company events. Design, create, and edit videos to promote programs offered by the organization. Develop and design quarterly newsletter, annual report, brochures, posters, flyers and other promotional items. Design and create print assets. Design communication and content for social media. Design and develop the brand identity for the organization and its community programs. Research and keep abreast of graphic and communication design software and computer technologies. **Work is at Employer’s Office or Clinic (367 S Schuyler Ave, Kankakee, IL 60901 or

700 E Court St. Kankakee, IL 60901) with no travel involved.

 

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communications, or a closely related field plus 5 years of progressively responsible experience in occupations related to graphic design. Must possess 5 years of experience in designing for digital, print, and interactive mediums, 5 years of experience performing typography design and layout, 5 years of experience performing compositing and manipulation of images for digital and print advertisements; Must possess 5 years of experience working with Adobe Creative Suite using Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and Final Cut Pro, 5 years of experience working with Adobe Dreamweaver, and 5 years of experience using presentation software in Microsoft PowerPoint or Keynote.
